How do you calculate the price for a cottage, a farm stay and a campsite?
Each of these types has its own year curve. We price a holiday cottage on the holiday-rental curve, farm stays on the short-stay curve and campsites on their own.
Does the weather affect the price?
Yes, but only once your history shows that weather affects your bookings and in which direction. In one place rain cuts bookings, while in the mountains snow is often a reason to travel, so we measure the direction instead of assuming it.
Where do you get holidays, long weekends and school breaks?
From official calendars, months in advance. We calculate school breaks separately for each region in which they fall, because the dates differ between regions.
Does a campsite need a larger plan?
A campsite with a reception or many priced units needs a larger plan. The plans are described in the price list.
